Places to Visit in Mussoorie

Gun Hill :

It is one of the outstanding attractions for tourists visiting Mussoorie and offers a fascinating panoramic view of the Himalayas and the Doon Valley.

Laal Tibba :
It is the highest point in Mussoorie that is famous for sunrise and sunset. It provides some amazing and never seen before views of the mountains that house the holy shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath.

The Mall Road :
It is famous for a city walk and shopping. It is like the lifeline of Mussoorie with almost everything located on this very stretch.

Christ Church :
It is believed to be the oldest church in the Himalayas. Designed in Gothic style, the events in the life of Jesus Christ are illustrated in the stained glass windows in the Church.

Camel’s Back Road :
It is a stretch of approximately 3 km long road from Library point to Kulri Bazaar. It is known for its natural beauty and it offers beautiful views of sunrise, sunset, and mountains.

Happy Valley :
It is well known for Tibetan Buddhist temple – Shedup Choepelling temple, the IAS Academy and the Municipal Garden and is famous for its estates, gardens, and temples.

Mussoorie Lake :
It is an artificially developed lake on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road. It has facilities for boating and is a good picnic spot.

Cloud’s End :
It lies on the extreme west of Mussoorie. The path to the Cloud’s End is covered with thick and dense forests and offers some wonderful views of the mountains.

Vinog Mountain Quail Sanctuary :
It is famous for the extinct bird species, Mountain Quail(Pahari Bater), which was last spotted in 1876.

Kempty Fall :
It is the most fascinating and biggest waterfall located in the beautiful valley of Mussoorie and is surrounded by high mountain ranges. It is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,364 meters above sea level.

Jwalaji Temple :
It is located at a distance of around 9 kilometers west from Mussoorie atop Benog hill and enshrines a centuries-old idol of the Hindu deity Goddess Durga, the manifestation of supreme beauty and deadly power in the Hindu mythology.

Company Garden :
It is a major picnic location in Mussoorie and is popular for sightseeing.

It is located strategically in Mussoorie’s bustling Mall Road.
